or have we missed the meaning of the word “racism”? I was listening to some of his jokes and I had to turn off the tv set.

I think its because he is a comedian and people don’t really take it seriouly. But I can see how some people would get offended.

Only white people can be racist. Everyone else is just a comedian.
He’s a comedian and people don’t take it seriously. Besides, he’s funny. I’m sure he has prejudices against whites and other groups of people. But many black comedians seem to have that trait too.
