When does the new Chris Rock special come out on DVD?

Not all HBO originals are made available on DVD/VHS. As a rule, stand-up comedy and music specials as well as most documentaries perform poorly in the home video market, so very few HBO originals of this nature have been brought out on DVD/VHS. Additionally, HBO does not usually retain home video rights to special sports events like boxing matches.
On the other hand, HBO original movies routinely appear on home video usually 6-12 months after the premiere, as do special mini-series events like From the Earth to the Moon and Band of Brothers. Also, our more popular original series –like The Sopranos, Sex and the City, Curb Your Enthusiasm, etc. – are brought out in season packages, though there is no routine schedule as to when each season is offered on home video.
