Does Chris Rock make a valid point about Hillary?

Chris Rock
Happy Bunny asked:

“I think America’s ready for a woman president… just not that woman. Being married to somebody doesn’t make you good at their job. I’ve been with my wife ten years now. If she got up here right now, y’all wouldn’t laugh at all! You get on a plane tomorrow, you want the pilot’s wife flying you?”
TJ: I don’t care how many times you’ve seen it, I’m asking if it’s a valid point.

Elizabeth: Because he’s a comedian, does his opinion not count? What if i said because you are a woman, your opinion doesn’t count and you’re not aloud to vote anymore?

Saw that one on here a million times already.

  2. Elizabeth R says:

I think if you need a comedian to help you decide…then maybe you have a bigger issue

  3. Elliott T says:

good question i would like too see what others have to say but he makes a good argument

  4. BDOLE says:

He makes a very valid point. Hillary Clinton’s marriage to Bill Clinton makes her no more qualified to be the president. She claims Obama has a lack of experience, but she pales in comparison to McCain. While she is not a complete novice, she has no specific right to the position due to being close to someone who had it before. Look at what happened the last time we put someone in office based on their name and not their qualifications.

Sometimes I like Chris Rock, sometimes I don’t. Every now and then, he manages to put things absolutely perfect. America is ready for a woman president. Just not that woman!

What’s really sad; with all the experience the monster claims she has; and this is the best she can accomplish with her campaign. Dirty tricks, lies, and deceit. However; let her continue to self-implode her own campaign by getting in bed with the Republicans. By the way; when I fly on a plane, I want the pilot, not his wife.

  6. Percy says:

Interesting, he has a right to believe whatever he wants.

I happen to think America is ready for an African American…just not Obama.

  7. Angelica M says:

    ROTFL Good POINT!!

  8. BIG BOPPER says:

Yes…….and I have said the same thing about Obama ” I think America’s ready for a black president…….just not that man “

What Chris Rock doesn’t know is that Hillary Clinton was an adviser to her husband and she was an essential part in getting her husband elected as Gov of Arkansas and the presidency. She is a senator from new york which certainly gives her political creditability.
The Analogy doesn’t make sense since his wife hasn’t been in the business of comedy. As for the Pilot’s wife she has had no training at all in flying a plane. Hillary was one of her husbands advisers so she was very involved in what took place.

No. he’s a comedian and not a political analyst. Take him for what he’s worth.

What would you say if Chris Rock were married to Wanda Sykes? 2 people in the same field but, with different accomplishments on their resumes… you’d still laugh if Wanda Sykes cam out on stage even though the jokes would be different than Chris Rock’s.

  11. divineintervener says:

That’s what I’ve been saying to all the sheeple, I mean, people who are supporting Hitlery because “we’re ready for a woman”. I say sure, but why does it have to be the first, power hungry, unqualified, piece of detritus that comes along?

  12. Wade ? says:

I don’t think America is readt for either one.

  13. Prince Slop Bucket says:

Chris Rock is a racist hack.

  14. islander8181 says:

Hillary has plenty of experience. She has been U.S. senator for more than 6 years. She was a top lawyer in a high profile law firm. And during the Clinton administration she was not just a bystander. In fact, republicans complained that she was too involved and had too much clout. Bill Clinton looked to Hillary for advice at every level. On top of that, the experience meeting with leaders from all over the world is an obvious advantage.

  15. Timothy S says:

Kinda dumb Hillary has the education and has been in government since she served on the impeachment committee for Nixon.

  16. foodfathought says:

I get what your saying and i agree with him, has nothing to do with her being a woman. My wife cant operate a back-hoe, if she went and dug for the city what a mess that would be. She cant make a valid case from what Bill Clinton did, because she’s not Bill Clinton.

  17. Lookin4Answers says:

Bingo. Why hasn’t anyone figured out that if a 60 year old woman is claiming to have 35 years of “experience” that makes her ready to hit the ground running on day 1 – that means she would have had to have been President when she was 25. She was never President, she lived in the White House and tried to get universal health care but failed.

And here’s what’s on her resume since 1978

a history of positioning herself to be in power rather than taking the side of the common man. Working as a lawyer for large corporations such as Walmart, and Monsanto, getting herself involved in what ended up being the Whitewater scandal, and the cattle futures purchase (something that got Martha Stewart jail time).

Oh but here’s what she did to make her qualified at foreign policy while she lived in Bills big white house.

What has Hillary done for NY? I asked New Yorkers and couldn’t find anyone from NY that could tell me (anything nice) unless it was someone on her campaign staff. Real people of NY think she used them as a stepping stone to the Presidency. She DID get $20billion dollars for NYC for the 9/11 fund…. gave most of it to her friends in large corporations and even to some small businesses, some of which weren’t even IN ny!

So, yes I agree with Chris Rock. She is so LESS qualified than either of the other candidates.

  18. Mike P says:

I have not heard that before, hehe I thought it was funny at first. I like Chris Rock, but then I thought about it for a few minutes and it is no longer funny. That wife could be our next President. Scary

  19. SS says:

Look, Chris Rock makes a lot of good points (like making bullets 5,000 dollars each or something). His points are valid, but they need to be taken with a grain of salt.

Of course Clinton gets a lot of respect because of her husband. No doubt there. However, she HAS actually done stuff and DID try to push health care reform in the early 90s. She has record of doing good things.

So Chris Rock has a point, like he usually does, but it’s exaggerated and overgeneralized for comedic purposes – take it with a grain of salt.

  20. Lilith D says:

He actually does have a valid point. She, in all reality, does not have that much more experience than Obama.
